Hello there trainer! My name is Professor Oak! I welcome you to the land of POKEMON!
INSTRUCTIONS
The goal of this game is to try to get 15 questions correctly! You will be tested on your Pokemon knowledge throughout all generations of Pokemon up to the Alola region. No two quizzes are ever the same! You'll have 30 seconds to answer each question. If you don't answer within the 30 seconds, you lose. There are five types of questions of increasing difficulty:
- IDENTIFY THE POKEMON BY THEIR PICTURE
- IDENTIFY THE POKEMON'S TYPE
- IDENTIFY THE POKEMON'S NORMAL AND HIDDEN ABILITIES
- IDENTIFY THE POKEMON'S BASE STATS
- IDENTIFY THE POKEMON'S HEIGHT AND WEIGHT
If you successfully answer all fifteen questions, you have the option to continue playing another round of 15 questions. Try to answer as many questions correctly in a row as you can! The sky is the limit! Your longest streak will be recorded in the profile section in the top left corner of the page.
LIFELINES
If at any point during the quiz you get stuck, you may use a lifeline! Lifelines may only be used ONCE per round of questions. You will not be penalized for using a lifeline. The two lifelines are detailed below.
- 50/50: You may use this to eliminate two WRONG choices, leaving the correct answer and one wrong answer.
- CHANGE THE QUESTION: You may choose to be tested on a DIFFERENT Pokemon than the one presented in front of you. However, this does not change the question type!
CHANGING THE BACKGROUND THEME
You may change the background theme at any time with the row of buttons below! Choose whatever color best fits your mood/personality!
CHANGE THE SETTINGS
If, at any time, you want to change the range of Pokemon you want to get tested on, or if you want to change the type of questions you'll encounter, you may access the settings button in the sidebar and fill out the form accordingly. Note, doing this WILL disrupt any streak you are currently on, and you will have to re-start your quiz if you change in the middle of a quiz.
RESETTING THE GAME
At any point, you are allowed to reset the game and be tested on a different set of Pokemon. Note, however, that you will be forfeitting your streak if you do. Usually the better choice is to just answer the question or use a lifeline!
GOOD LUCK!
